North London visit Finchingfield

Go to the North London web pagesOn what turned out to be a rather cold and wet day 9 riders went to Finchingfield for lunch followed by an afternoon tea and cake stop taken in the Rodings. A nice day despite a bit of sleet.

The North London HOC meets at The Volunteer, Honey Lane, Waltham Abbey, EN9 3QT (200 yards east of jnc 26 of the M25, on the A121). Every Thursday from 8pm. Manchester Day Out to the Raven Cafe and Sleap Airport

See the bigger pictureAround 11 bikes joined the ride stopping at the Raven Cafe, Whitchurch. Some stopped for nearby fish & chips while others travelled on to Sleap Airport then back via Wem and Congleton.

Classic Show at David Silver Museum

See the bigger pictureAbout 15 bikes and twenty people were involved in our Branch BBQ. A fine ride was followed by some fine food and drink hosted by Steve and Gloria, with entertainment from Dolly - featured. A great day. The rain held off just nicely. Thank you!

See the bigger pictureOn a beautiful day six members had a fine ride out to the Brackley show. It gets better every year. We met the Team on the fine Honda stand and other members who had travelled there separately. Gary led us on a fine route. Watching the old bikes on the oval circuit was a treat!

East Midlands rin an impressive stand at Donnington Classic Bike Festival

Open a larger image in new windowThe route was varied and passed many of Derbyshires beauty spots including Carsington Water, lovely villages like Brassington and great roads like the Snake Pass. We stopped at Grindleford Station Cafe for a late breakfast and went onto Glossop, returning via Hayfield, Edale, Hope, Tideswell, Wardslow, Alstonefield and finishing at Carsington Water. It was a great day out despite having a good downpour from Glossop to Edale around coffee stop time. Definitely one to do again.

Dorset HOC attempt trip to the Coast

See the bigger pictureSunday August 6th 10 members with 7 bikes met to take a ride around the coast to Teignmouth Devon... We never made it holidaymakers and work commitments all prevailed to change our plan with half heading home and the other half heading to West Bay... needless to say we all had a fantastic day .

See the bigger pictureThe Branch had a lovely run through the finest Essex and Suffolk countryside to stop for lunch at the beautiful Snape Maltings. Plenty to see and do here. On the way we stopped at Nini's cafe in Lavenham, a worthy Ride Mag recommendation. A fine day out. 10 persons took part.
